A MAN from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a father of three was left in a critical condition in an assault.
Thames Valley Police made the arrest as part of their investigation into a serious assault in a car park in Rutland Avenue, High Wycombe, on Tuesday June 18.
The victim remains in hospital in a serious condition after being hit on the head with what is thought to be a metal pole.
The 28-year-old man who has been arrested has been released on bail until August 28.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses however as they seek a second man in connection to the incident.
He is described as black, aged between 27 and 33, 5ft 11ins tall, of slim build but with a wide chest. He was wearing a high visibility jacket and workman-style boots with light coloured trousers.
He was also carrying a shoulder bag and was with two or three other men who all fled from the scene.
