Teen left with broken nose after assault
A 17-year-old boy was attacked and robbed outside a parade of shops.
The teenager and a friend were in Riddy Lane, Luton, at 5pm on Saturday, December 29, when they were approached by a group of males.
One of the group took money from the pocket of the boy before head-butting him so hard that he fell to the floor.
The teen, who was left with a broken nose and swelling to the back of his head, managed to get himself into one of the shops, while the attacker and the group left the area on foot.
Detective Constable Jabbar Khan, who is investigating the incident, is keen to hear from anyone who was in the Riddy Lane area at the time of the robbery and may have seen the offender who is described as being an Asian male, aged 18 years old, of slender build, around five feet ten inches tall and was wearing dark clothing and a hat.
DC Khan said: “The victim of this attack has been left with some rather nasty injuries as well as being very upset by the incident.
“There were a lot of people in the area at the time of the attack and I would really like to hear from anyone who may have information – however small or insignificant they think it is – that could help us.
“Please don’t dismiss your information as unimportant – even tiny details which don’t seem relevant now might become useful later on in the investigation.”
One person has been arrested in connection with this offence and released on police bail.
