A 24-YEAR-OLD man who shouted racist abuse at a police officer and a group of young women has been jailed for eight weeks.
We are not told in this article what the racist abuse was, what the race of the victims were, or what the race of the offender was. We have to fill in the blanks ourselves. Our only clue is the name of the offender:
Blackburn magistrates heard the officer was talking to a group of females on Darwen Street when Saliou Henry Diaw approached and launched his tirade for no apparent reason.
If we google the surname “Diaw”, all the results are Senagelese. so this was a black guy shouting racial abuse at a group of people in England. Presumably we can rule out them being fellow blacks. So what were they? We’re not told. Blackburn is about 2/3 white.
