- Suspect described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s

- Public warned not to approach him as he may still be carrying weapons
- A man was detained in city centre, but was released without being arrested
- Girl has been identified and her family informed of her death

Last night, detectives were questioning 22-year-old Phillip Simelane on suspicion of murder.
He is thought to an immigrant from Swaziland and lives in a run-down terraced house close to one of Birmingham’s red-light districts.

They said the 22-year-old, a British national with links to Walsall, was not previously known to mental health units in the area and has no known link to the teenager.

Apparently cra, the murdering scumbag had made a pass at the young girl, and she rebuffed him, so he killed her. She was a pretty little thing, with her whole life ahead of her, only to be snuffed out by somebody that shouldn’t have even been in this country. My prayer’s go out to the family, and rest in peace Christina. I really hope that justice is done here, but i won.t hold my breath. This thing needs to be deported, after he serves a jail sentence, thats if he does go to jail, and not some cushie mental hospital.
If Christina had a weapon she could have protected herself. This scumbag needs to be executed.
