When he was jailed in 2006 for Kriss’s murder, Shahid already had a long criminal record. He was jailed for four-and-a-half years in 1995 and for 30 months in 2003, both times for serious violence.
In another piece of writing, called A Life Lived, he brags of leading a pack of thugs with a mission to “expel racist white gangs from Pollokshields”.

He brags: “I amassed houses, money, women, cars, power and children as a direct consequence of my fraudulent activity.”
And he whines: “I received my first criminal conviction for services against my oppressors.”
