A bus passenger today told how he was attacked by three young men – simply for asking them to stop pressing the bell.
He described how they turned on him, hit him and then tried to drag him off the night bus “to finish me off”.
The 39-year-old, who was knocked out in the beating, said he had been left traumatised.
Bronson, as he has asked to be called, said: “I sat downstairs by the back door behind the glass. These guys behind me kept pressing the stop button and the bus driver was getting annoyed.
“I turned round and said: ‘Don’t do that, it’s not necessary’. One guy hit me on the side of the head and the next thing I knew they were all on top of me.
“I tried to defend myself and they tried to pull me off the bus so they could finish me off properly. I lost a front tooth and damaged some others. My shoulder was also badly damaged and my face was a mess.”
