Why are people calling these 3 guys paki’s?? They may have asian sounding names but they are english born and there grandparent are from kenya. Therefor they are NOT paki so why are people tryin to turn it into a race things???

    • Where they were born has nothing to do with their race. If I was born in a stable, I wouldn’t be a horse. We aren’t turning it into a race thing, it IS a race thing.

      • Anon says:

You’re so naive. ‘Paki’ isn’t an acceptable term for someone of asian descent, because it’s shortened from ‘Pakistani’, which is specifically someone from Pakistan, which these people weren’t.

      • You’re the one who’s naive. “Paki” is shorthand for someone who is ethnically South Asian, it doesn’t matter whether they were born in Pakistan, born in England, born in Australia, or born on the moon.

Besides, get a sense of humour for Christ’s sake. “Paki Pack Attack” is an snazzy name for what is otherwise a depressing topic. It rolls off the tongue a lot better than “South Asian Pack Attack”.

I can’t believe that a group of “South Asians” BEAT SOMEONE TO DEATH, and you people want to quibble about whether it’s racist to call them Pakis. Let’s talk about whether it’s racist to kill a white man.

  2. anon says:

Seen as no one but the people involved know how the incedent happened maybe the whole ‘racist attack’ should be knocked on the head. Not all fights between mixed races are infact racist fights. The police know what happened and I’m sorry but I stand by the old innocent until proven otherwise call me old fashioned but just because the white guy died doesn’t mean he was innocent

    • I have never said that the attack was definitely explicitly racially motivated on the part of the Pakistanis, so don’t put words in my mouth. When there is evidence of racial motivation, for example racial epithets used in the attack, then I tag it “explicitly racist”. As you can see, I have not tagged it such.

And you say it was a fight, but I don’t see anything about a fight. I see a group of Pakistanis beat a white man to death. That’s not a fight, that’s an attack. A Pak Attack. Which is a pattern of crime repeated up and down the country, a group of ethnic Pakistanis attacks a lone ethnic British man.

Now, you claim “just because the white guy died doesn’t mean he was innocent”. I’d like to know exactly what you think he could have done to the Pakistanis to deserve being beaten to death.
