Man slashed in Christmas Eve attack

A 20-year-old was left with stab wounds to his back and waist during a vicious assault.
The man was walking between Waldeck Road and Highbury Road, Luton at 11pm on Christmas Eve, when he was approached by a group of five males.
One of the gang stepped forward and stabbed the man twice, before he managed to run away.
The victim was taken to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, where he received treatment to two wounds.
PC Nicole McCaffrey, who is investigating the attack, is keen to speak with anyone who was in Highbury Road or Waldeck Road at the time of the incident and may have seen the offenders in the area.
The group are all described as Asian males, between five feet six inches and seven inches tall, slim to medium build and with their faces covered.
