AN ILLEGAL immigrant assaulted a police officer as he was arrested for stealing an electric razor from Tesco.
Ming Chen, who came to Britain from China in 2009, stole the razor as a gift for a friend who was to put him up in the Potteries.
The 38-year-old pinched the item from Hanley's Tesco store on June 28.
He was detained by staff and then struggled with police who came to arrest him.
