Asian randomly punches Luton man in the face on High Town Road

Man punched in unprovoked attack

A man was punched in the face in a seemingly unprovoked attack.

The incident happened on High Town Road on Sunday, March 25, at around 5.10pm.

The victim was walking with friends along the road when an Asian man punched him in the face.

The man is described as being in his 20s, approximately 5’8” tall, with a stocky build and black hair.

The victim required hospital treatment to a fractured jaw and a suspected fractured eye socket.

The investigating officer, Detective Constable Ann Ward, is keen to trace anyone who saw the assault.

DC Ward said: “It was very warm on Sunday afternoon and we believe a number of people who were standing close to the Brick Layers Public House may have seen the assault. I would appeal to these people to contact the police and tell officers what they saw.”

Anyone with information about this incident can contact DC Ward, in confidence, on 01582 473320 Bedfordshire Police on 101, or text information to 07786 200011.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
